Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 February 2026

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

1. Controller

Maurice-Benjamin Huschke
Am Finkenherd 45
13589 Berlin, Germany
Email: hello@choco-bit.io

choco-bit is a sole proprietorship. There is no legal obligation to appoint a data protection officer.

2. Overview

This website is an informational company website. There are no user accounts, no login, no newsletter, no advertising and no tracking or analytics tools. We process personal data only where it is technically necessary to deliver the website or where you send us a message yourself.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted on the infrastructure of our hosting provider. When you access the website, the server automatically records technical access data (server log files):

  • abbreviated IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of the request
  • requested URL and HTTP status code
  • browser type, version and operating system
  • amount of data transferred

This processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically secure and stable operation of the website. Log data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted or anonymised after a short period.

4. Contact form and email contact

If you use the contact form we process the name, email address and message text you enter. The data is transmitted to our email infrastructure and sent as an email to hello@choco-bit.io. We use this data exclusively to process your enquiry.

Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a (pre-)contractual matter, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Processors

We use carefully selected service providers for hosting and email delivery. Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with these providers. Processing takes place within the EU/EEA wherever possible; where a transfer to a third country cannot be avoided, it is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies, tracking and local storage

This website sets no cookies — neither first-party nor third-party. It uses no login or session ID, no fingerprinting, no advertising pixels and no browser-based analytics or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar or similar). All fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server; no request is made to an external CDN. No personal data is written to your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage; at most the router may keep a purely technical scroll-position entry that contains no personal data.

A cookie consent banner is therefore not legally required (Sec. 25 (1) TDDDG). Instead we show a purely informational notice that is dismissed in the page's memory only — that notice stores nothing either.

What remains are the hosting provider's server log files (see section 3) and the hosting platform's own reach measurement ("platform analytics"): it counts page views server-side from the request data, in aggregate and without cookies or browser storage, and cannot recognise individual people or devices across sites.

The backend platform behind this site (database, server functions and email delivery) is only contacted when you actively submit the contact form. It sets no cookies in your browser; the data processed there is described in sections 4 and 5.

7. External links

This website links to our own products (KampAiGo, CherryDrop, stemloom, storytify, state-of-gym, toolyverse) and to third-party websites. Following such a link means the privacy policy of the linked site applies. No data is transmitted to those sites before you click.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, contact hello@choco-bit.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

9. Changes to this policy

We adapt this privacy policy when the website changes or the legal situation requires it. The current version always applies.

No cookies, no trackers

This site sets no cookies, loads no tracking scripts and stores no personal data in your browser — no login, no advertising pixels, no external CDNs. The hosting platform counts page views server-side, anonymously and without cookies; the contact form only sends your details to our backend when you submit it.
